SPRING TRANSITION

FEATURED DESIGNER: WES GORDON (SS14)

I've been wanting to post a Spring inspiration feature and finally found the time. If you are like me, the change from Winter to Spring has welcomed a switch from heavy and dark to light and soft. This is when my personal style really thrives! I am notorious for being in a constant warm weather state of mind when it comes to dressing - especially in cloudy Seattle - where most people find comfort in blacks and greys, I romanticize in white-on-white on more than one occasion. You can imagine how giddy I become when the weather finally matches up with my wardrobe. Yet, I will admit I have assimilated, evident when I look into my closet and try to find something to wear now that the days have become pleasantly warm and sunny.

So, whether I am preaching to the choir, or if you are a fall-winter kind of person looking for some direction, here is a little inspiration!

From all the designers that debuted their Spring 2014 lines last fall, I have very deeply fallen in love with Wes Gordon. His ability to orchestrate delicate textures with simple effortlessness is, to say the least, inspired. I personally take to it because it conveys sex appeal and femininity in such subtlety and ease. It is clear, Wes Gordon is a designer after my own heart.

Cheers!

Wanderlust-ing

Top (H&M), Pants (ASOS), Shoes (Birkenstocks), Dress (ASOS)

Photos by: Marissa Alves

Seattle has reminded us of how it can be transformed with this beautiful thing called sunshine. I grew up in Colorado where there are 300 days of sun a year, now that I'm living in Seattle I've realized just how much I've taken daylight for granted.

The sun also means I can start resurrecting dresses, tops without jackets, and sandals! Will be posting some inspiration photos for spring soon.

Thanks you to Marissa for these beautiful photos. Check her out in the link above, she does amazing work!
