Biker Jackets and Snapbacks

Had to rep the westside one time... This boxy yet cozy faux leather biker jacket from ASOS is too good. Gonna be keepin' me real warm for the rest of the winter! Paired it with my Aritzia "Notte" snapback to bring a streetwear flair to the mix. As a hip hop dancer I'm always struggling to find a balance between my love for chic high fashion (which generally = high maintenance outfits i.e. heels, skirts, etc.) and my need to be dressed in more athletic, comfortable streetwear so I can be ready to dance at the drop of an A$AP Ferg song. If you are someone who can relate, a get up like this definitely finds a happy medium!

Several months ago I was asked to be apart of a team that was aiming to change the game of Seattle fashion by starting Le Notre, a men's clothing line. I knew from the get-go that this was a journey I had to be apart of. I trusted the vision and aesthetic of each member of the Le Notre team, individuals that are not only a pleasure to work with but ones that I personally connect with through shared passions and ambitions.

I'm so grateful for the opportunity I've been given to contribute to this vision. 

These photos are just a glimpse at our journey with Le Notre so far. So much consideration, time, money, and support was put into these past months trying to launch this line and to think we've just gotten started. Shout out to everyone that have supported us throughout this process. And big shout out to my team who has put their heart and soul into this.

Here's to the future!

There are many fun perks to being an ASOS rep on campus, perks that my closet is very grateful for! Loving this cozy, fuzzy sweater and how well it pairs with my green snake skin purse. I'm not the best academic, but I try because I value education and being well-rounded. I'm blessed and humbled that school has given me the opportunity to challenge myself beyond fashion, because let's be honest, it can be rather superficial at times. These photos were taken by my lovely friend Chloe Lee, in between classes at my beautiful business school.

Happy Halloween!

My favorite part about Halloween is you get to feel like a kid again. I have a small but very real obsession with toddlers in full body animal costumes so my senior year of high school I visited Pottery Barn Kids and bought a full body shark costume meant to be worn by 4-6 year olds. Halloween that year was my favorite of all time. So I thought I would bring it back this year GIRAFFE STYLE. 

Zac met up with his photographer friend Christine while we were in Portland and I just so happened to be in Giraffe mode for the Deep Finale (Halloween themed) so Christine, along with several passer-byers (word?) took some photos of me. That was the closest I'll ever get to feeling like a real giraffe in a zoo.

Throwback to when the sun was still out! Yet again, such a fun shoot with the homie Shakir, it seemed like the gods approved of this one. The lighting was just right, the breeze was perfectly blowing back my hair, and even two buses got into a little accident on the intersection near where we were shooting so we had a whole street blocked off for us! Talk about things falling in place.
